Postpartum & women's work

Your body didsomething enormous.

Birth disorganizes the core, the posture, and the connection that used to feel automatic. There is an optimal window where the body wants to reorganize (first 6 months postpartum), and I work with it, slowly, on your terms.

Symptoms

This might be you.

  • You want to feel at home in your body again, not just patched up.
  • You feel a gap, a heaviness, or a core that will not switch on.
  • Your posture changed with carrying, feeding, and rarely sitting down or resting.
  • You are weeks out, or you are years out and it never got addressed.
  • Your low back, hips, or pelvic floor are carrying the load now.
  • You want someone who will go slow and actually listen.
The deep core canister: diaphragm, pelvic floor, and deep abdominals Diaphragm Deep core Pelvic floor
The mechanism

Restore the deep core pressure system.

Your deep core is a pressure system: diaphragm on top, pelvic floor below, deep abdominals around. Pregnancy stretches and rearranges all of it. Crunches do not fix a pressure problem.

We restore the conversation between breath and the deep core, release the fascia that got pulled out of line, and let posture find true vertical alignment again. This is what stabilizes your foundation.

Your body did something enormous and it is still carrying a lot. There is a malleable window early on, but the work is also effective years later too. Careful, hands-on structural work to rebuild core, posture, and the connection that got scattered, plus simple movement you can actually keep up between sessions.

Benefits

How my work can help you.

Reconnect the core.

Breath, deep abdominals, and pelvic floor learning to work together again, not in isolation.

Close the gap.

We rebuild the midline connection after birth, so your middle feels supported and whole again.

Stand tall again.

Release the carrying posture that builds over months of feeding and lifting, and let your structure resettle.

Lighten the load.

Ease the low back, hips, and shoulders that have been carrying everything since the baby came.

Pelvic floor that shows up.

Restore the pressure system so the pelvic floor can do its job without bracing or holding on.

Tended, not rushed.

Slow, nervous-system-aware work, paced entirely to your body. We never go past what you can hold.

Care through perimenopause.

As the body shifts, we keep your mobility, balance, and ease instead of bracing against the change.

Grounded in real training.

Structural, nervous-system-aware work, refined over nearly thirty years of hands-on practice.

Common questions

Questions, answered.

How soon after birth can I start?
Once you are cleared to move and feel ready, gentle work can begin. There is a malleable early window, but this work helps months and years out too. We always start where your body actually is.
Is this the same as pelvic floor therapy?
No. This is external, structural bodywork and movement education. It works alongside pelvic floor PT and does not replace medical care. If something needs a physician or specialist, I will say so.
Can you help if I gave birth years ago?
Yes. Plenty of people come in long after, once they realize the gap, the posture, or the disconnection never really got addressed. The structure is still workable.
Will this help diastasis recti?
Often, yes. We rebuild the core and breath connection and address the posture and load patterns around the separation, so your middle feels supported again. This is bodywork and movement education, not a medical fix.
What about perimenopause and menopause?
This is some of my favorite work. As the body changes, structural work and movement help you hold onto mobility, balance, and ease through the shift instead of bracing against it.
Do I need clearance from my doctor?
If you are early postpartum or managing a condition, please get cleared to move first. I work alongside your providers, never instead of them, and I will refer out when something needs it.
