Postpartum bodywork: rebuilding your body after birth.

Your body did something enormous. Here is how we help it reorganize, slowly and on your terms.

The carrying posture that builds up after birth from feeding and lifting
The carrying posture: months of feeding and lifting set a shape into the tissue.

Birth scatters things. The core that used to fire without thinking, the posture that held itself, the connection through your middle that felt automatic. None of it is broken. It is reorganizing, and there is a window early on where the body especially wants help finding its way back.

But I want to be clear, because a lot of people think they missed their chance. This work helps months and years out too. The structure is still workable. It is never too late.

Rebuild the canister, not just the abs

Your deep core is a pressure system. Diaphragm on top, pelvic floor below, deep abdominals wrapping around. Pregnancy stretches and rearranges all of it, and crunches do not fix a pressure problem. We restore the conversation between breath and the deep core first, so the system can do its job again.

The deep core canister of diaphragm, pelvic floor, and deep abdominals
The deep core canister. We rebuild the pressure system before we ask it to work hard.

From there we release the fascia that got pulled out of line by carrying and feeding, and let your posture settle back toward true vertical. That is what stabilizes the foundation, and it is what makes the core work hold.

Slow, and on your terms

This is unhurried work, paced entirely to your body. We never go past what you can hold, and there is nowhere we have to get to.

Caring for your body after birth is not self indulgence. It is how you come back to yourself.

Diastasis recti and the midline separation that bodywork and movement help support
We address the midline and the load patterns around it, so your middle feels supported again.

If you feel a gap, a heaviness, or a core that will not switch on, you are not alone and you are not stuck. We go slow, we listen, and we rebuild.

The short version
  • There is a malleable window after birth, but the work helps years later too.
  • We restore the deep core pressure system before loading it.
  • Releasing the carrying posture lets your structure resettle.
  • The work is slow, consent based, and paced entirely to you.
